Defective Recycled Cartridge Replacement Policy

Defective Recycled Cartridge Machine Policy

This is our policy in relation to repair or replacement of equipment, damaged by a recycled cartridge, both ink & toner.

This warranty states that we, Inkjet & Laser Solutions Pty Ltd (ILS) will meet all costs to repair or replace inkjet & laser equipment that is damaged as a result of materials or techniques used by us in the recycling process & this warranty is made in accordance with the following conditions;

  1. Costs for damage will be met by us where damage occurs as a result of materials or techniques used by us in the recycling process. This warranty excludes damages, which may have been caused by the inkjet or toner cartridge itself, where damage would have occurred whether or not the cartridge had been recycled.
  2. Any claim for repair work must be made against the manufacturer of the printer & liability for claim must have been denied by the manufacturer. The denial must be in writing & must give details of the nature of the damage repairs required & specifically attribute the damage to the ink or toner that we have used or the fact that the cartridge was recycled. The denial must also give any other reason that they deny liability together with detailed costs of the repair work.
  3. Reimbursement of the cost will then be considered by our company, after i) & ii) have been investigated by an official appointed by our company.

To the extent permitted by law, no other warranty is given or implied & ILS will not be responsible for any consequential loss or damage. Should any part of this Warranty be found to contradict any of your rights under statutory warranty, the Warranty will be read as if the offending wording was excluded.

Defective Recycled Cartridge Replacement Policy

This is our policy in relation to accepting claims for replacement of defective cartridges, both ink & laser.

All Inkjet & Laser Solutions (ILS) inkjet & laser cartridges are guaranteed against defects & will be replaced if found to be defective. A claim will be accepted if the cartridge;

  • has been recycled by Inkjet & Laser Solutions
  • is within the expiry period of 12 weeks (from date of purchase)*
  • has not been abused
  • has not been tampered with
  • is defective
  • is not empty
  • is returned with a print sample (showing the defect)

Pro Rata Policy

Should the cartridge meet the above criteria ILS will replace the defective cartridge on a pro-rata basis. That is, the weight of the defective cartridge will determine the degree of usage & ILS will credit on a pro-rata basis, against the cost of replacement.

Eg.
A HP51629A at full weight = 60 gm
A defective HP51629A weight = 40 gm
Therefore the cartridge is 50% used

Therefore 50% of the cost of the defective cartridge is credited against a replacement cartridge.

To the extent permitted by law, no other warranty is given or implied & ILS will not be responsible for any consequential loss or damage. Should any part of this Warranty be found to contradict any of your rights under statutory warranty, the Warranty will be read as if the offending wording was excluded.
